The majority of the NVQ course is online allowing you to complete it from home and just come onsite for each of your 15 practical lessons and your exams. So whether you want to complete your training within 6 weeks or over the period of 3 years, it's your choice, we are here to support you every step of the way.

Spread the cost. You can choose to pay for your course in full or you can choose to spread the cost with one of our online flexible finance plans.

1. How long does it take to complete one of your courses?

This can take anything from 6 weeks to 3 years, dependant on experience and knowledge, plus your determination to complete the course in your own time.
1. Do you offer plumbing courses?

Yes, we offer the Level 2 & Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing & Heating (6189)
1. How do I pay for my course?

You have 2 options, Option 1 you make the full payment direct to us. Option 2 you use our flexible online finance options. Please click on the link for more information
How much will my course cost

Our Hybrid courses are £3000 (inc VAT), including any resits for exams.
When can I start?

As soon as you have paid in full or set up a finance agreement, a Choice Training staff member will be in touch with the next steps.
Will I be qualified once I have completed my course?

Yes, you will be fully qualified in a Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ City & Guilds qualification
Do you have a Gas course I can enrol onto?

No Choice Training do not offer any Gas courses.
Do I have to have a job to enrol onto the course I choose?

No enrolling onto Hybrid learning gives you the flexibility to learn a new trade, but you will have to carry out the required assessments for an assessor to ensure you are competent within that task.
I am working in the industry, but my employer will not give me the time off to come to college."

Hybrid learning gives you the flexibility to learn at home whilst gaining evidence and practical experience from the workplace. You can book your time at Choice Training when it suits you if it is within the 3 years.
Do you offer weekend or night courses?

Not at present but come back to the site from time to time as this could change in the future.
I do not live in the area, can I still come to Choice to do your course"

Yes, that is the practical aspect of Hybrid Learning, you can study at home at your own pace, then book to come to Choice Training in a block to carry out all online exams and practical assessments. We have a local Travelodge and Premier Inn based less than 5 minutes’ drive from Choice Training. We can help book this for you.
What qualification will I receive once I have completed my course?

Dependant on the course you take it will be one of the following. Level 2 or 3 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing & Heating Level 2 or 3 NVQ Diploma in Heating & Ventilating (Industrial Commercial) Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Heating & Ventilating (Planned & Reactive Maintenance) All above qualifications are accredited by City & Guilds
Do I need prior experience?

No prior experience needed, you will be taught all the practical experience in the workshop and this will lead to you being able to install the following. Baths, cisterns, taps, pipe etc (James/Rob to elaborate)
Will you help me gain my work-based site evidence?

Yes, we will guide you in the right direction with our qualified assessors. Remember you are in control and have up to 36 months to compete this task.
Can I carry out my work-based evidence at college?

No, you cannot simulate any work-based evidence within Choice Training.
Can I progress to a higher level or different qualification once I have competed my course?

Yes, if you complete a Level 2 qualification in plumbing then you can enrol onto our Level 3 Plumbing course or Water Regs or Unvented course, (follow the link) If you complete our Level 3 course you could enrol onto a HNC Management Course.
Will this be a recognised qualification?

Yes, all our qualifications are certified by City & Guilds.
Can I get a skill card once I am qualified?

How will I gather evidence if I do not work in the industry?

A phone call from one of our qualified assessors will talk you through the process. You do not need to work in the industry.
What is the average time it takes to complete one of your courses?

Average time for completion is 12 months. This is dependent on ability, experience, and dedication by you.

Practical lessons span 15 days to cover although this can be less if you have prior experience, again this is easy to book using our online booking calendar.

You are in charge of your learning so you may decide to book once a week or 3 weeks in a row. Flexible learning.

Exams and practical workshop time can be booked at the same time allowing you to be flexible with your days/dates.
